Brahms Violin Concerto

Saint-Saëns Organ Symphony

A rousing concert to end the year. The Brahms Violin Concerto offers a stunning display of the violin's emotional and virtuosic qualities. When completed, a musical acquaintance of Brahms' exclaimed, 'It is a concerto for violin against the orchestra - and the violin wins!' This spellbinding piece will be played by Anna da Silva Chen, one of the most in-demand violin soloists in Australia.

The concert will close with Saint-Saëns' Organ Symphony, a magnificent, majestic work. The power of the wonderful organ in the Verbrugghen Hall at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music will join with the North Sydney Symphony Orchestra in what promises to be a fitting and exciting finale to our 2018 music making.
